I never thought I’d live on a boat.

My husband talked about it for years, and I always brushed it off as one of those big, wild ideas that never leave the ‘what if’ stage. But then one day, it wasn’t just talk, it was an email, a signature, a boatyard in Vietnam, and a brand new chapter I didn’t quite see coming.

I packed up my life, my business, and two years of RV memories, and stepped onto the deck of Why Not, our floating home.

Now, my days are stitched together by tides, anchor drags, sunrise tea, and the hum of the wind against the sails. I photograph what it feels like to live between certainty and surrender — the quiet mornings, the messy lessons, the salt-streaked reflections that shape a life at sea.

This space is where I collect them. Not just the photographs, but the thoughts, the stories, and the reminders that adventure isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s just you, the horizon, and a question that begins with why not?  MEET SV WHY NOT

Every so often, I send out a quiet note from wherever the tide takes me — a glimpse of light on the water, a photo that never made it to Instagram, and a reflection from this uncharted life at sea. No algorithms. No noise. Just stories, stillness, and the occasional sea breeze in your inbox.
